I am trying to remember where I purchased these. Probably Target. But they are new, and not limited edition, so you will probably have luck finding them in most stores. So grab a bag and try them!

A History of Warheads!

Warheads Extreme Candy  were invented in Taiwan in 1975 and were first imported to the United States in the early 1980s. They are known for their intense sour flavor and are marketed as “extreme” candy. The name comes from the idea that the sour taste is like a real warhead exploding in your mouth.

Warheads get their strong sour flavor mostly from malic acid, which covers the outside of the candy, giving you about 30 seconds of extreme sourness.

The popularity of this candy was strong right off the bat, basically because it was a challenge. Kids loved to see who could keep these candies in their mouths the longest. Today the candy is produced in Roswell New Mexico, where 240 million Warheads are made each year. The original candies come in blue raspberry, lemon, green apple, black cherry, and watermelon.
